Mace Guitars are built in the USA by one builder from start to finish. The SX model is a compact strat like guitar with modern appointments. Where the beauty comes from with Mace Guitars is in the construction of the neck and deep set neck pockets. This one has a quarter sawn Sapele neck with an ebony fretboard and features a Ten-degree headstock angle. Mace’s focused tension-field geometry design is an advanced carbon fiber composite structure that extends from the tip of the headstock, inside the neck, to the distal end of the fretboard and is integrated into the neck mounting modules. This greatly improves the stability of the neck in all aspects. The neck shape is a very comfortable custom “C” profile and features 1-degree neck tilt angle for comfort and precision alignment with the bridge.

What makes Mace Guitarwerks stand out from the competition is the revolutionary neck mounting system. Mace’s deep set-neck mounting system has over half a ton of total clamping pressure. This mechanical coupling and acoustical energy transfer results in improved clarity, resonance, sustain and stability. The bridge pickup position is slightly further away from the bridge to eliminate the harshness caused by stacking the pickup against the bridge also.
